INTENT TO OPT OUT OF HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION

The DeKalb County Georgia governing authority intends to opt out of the statewide adjusted base year ad valorem homestead exemption for DeKalb County.

All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this matter to be held at the Dunwoody Library, 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody, Georgia 30338 on Thursday February 20, 2025, at 10am.

Times and places of additional public hearings on this matter are at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center, 3181 Rainbow Drive, Decatur, Georgia 30034 on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 6pm and at 178 Sams Street, Decatur, Georgia 30030 (Multipurpose Room A1201) on Tuesday February 25, 2025, at 10am.
