DeKalb Parks to Host Fall Festivals

DeKalb County Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs will host a series of free fall festivals, Oct. 26 – 31, at various recreation centers throughout DeKalb County. This year’s festivals will include face painting, hikes, music, games, contests, hayrides, food and more. All members of the community are invited to attend, and children are encouraged to wear costumes.

The 2023 Fall festivals include:

Thursday, Oct. 26

• Tobie Grant Recreation Center, 593 Parkdale Drive, Scottdale, 6 – 8:30 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 27

• East Central DeKalb Community and Senior Center, 4885 Elam Road, 7 – 10 p.m.
• Exchange Recreation and Intergenerational Center, 2771 Columbia Drive, 7– 9 p.m.
• Lucious Sanders Recreation Center, 2484 Bruce Street, 5 – 7p.m.
• N.H. Scott Recreation Center, 2230 Tilson Road, Decatur, 6:30 – 9 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 28

• Midway Recreation Center, 3181 Midway Rd. Decatur, Georgia, 30032, 3 – 6 p.m.
• Redan Recreation Center and New Covenant Christian Ministries Fall Festival, 1839 Phillips Road, Lithonia, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 29

• Mason Mill Recreation Center, 1340-B McConnell Drive, Decatur, 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• Gresham Recreation Center, 3113 Gresham Road, Atlanta, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
• Hamilton Recreation Center, 3263 Chapel Street, Scottdale, 6 – 8:00 p.m.
