DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson, in partnership with Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson, Fulton County Commissioner Marvin Arrington and Georgia HOA Alliance will host the DeKalb and Regional Homeowner Association (HOA) Boot camp on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the Porter Sanford, III Performing Arts and Community Center, 3181 Rainbow Drive, Decatur, Ga. 30034.

"Our goal is to ensure that DeKalb residents and HOAs are empowered and equipped with the tools necessary to improve their neighborhoods and communities,” said Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson.

The bootcamp is geared to address today’s top issues facing homeowners and homeowner associations. Topics will range from HOA Transition Declarant, Short-Term Rentals, Squatters, The Art of HOA Litigation and more. This will give constituents, local HOAs and civic organizations a chance to ask questions and gain the knowledge needed to be successful.

The bootcamp will experience attendees throughout the region from Atlanta, DeKalb, Clayton, Cobb, Douglas, East Point, Fayette, Gwinnett, Henry and South Fulton.

“We encourage all to come out learn from the experts,” said Commissioner Larry Johnson. “This is a free bootcamp to allow residents an opportunity to actively engage and gain knowledge to help them be successful. The tools and insight gained from this experience will help address key quality of life issues at the most grassroots level.”
