DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson in partnership with Center Helping Obesity in Children End Successfully (C.H.O.I.C.E.S.) will be hosting a Mobile Food Pantry to combat hunger and food insecurity.

The outdoor event will use a drive-through model to service recipients. It will be held Thursday, Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., at First Baptist Church Gresham, 2394 Gresham Rd. SE, Atlanta, GA 30316.

The Mobile Food Pantry is free and open to the public.  Registration is highly encouraged and available here.

“Since the pandemic began, we have not stopped making sure that families have food to eat,” said Commissioner Johnson. “With the holiday season around the corner, we will continue to make sure that we are reducing as many burdens on families as possible and that includes providing food.”

The attendees will receive a food basket filled with fresh produce and groceries while supplies last.
