The Urban Redevelopment Agency of DeKalb County will hold a meeting on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, Immediately following the Bard of Commissioners' 9:00 a.m. meeting. This meeting will be conducted via teleconference (Zoom). Simultaneous public access to the meeting will be available (1) via live stream on DCTV’s webpage, and (2) on DCTVChannel23.TV.

On Tuesday, May 4, DeKalb County and its contractors will temporarily interrupt water service to businesses and residents between 2308 and 2960 Shallowford Road from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., to replace a leaking 30-inch-diameter water line. Residents and businesses may experience low water pressure or service interruption for several hours.

DeKalb County Commissioner Lorraine Cochran-Johnson will be the featured speaker for the Agnes Scott College Horizons Outreach Program (CHOP) Hot Topics Seminar Series titled "Women Rule: Cultivating the Leader Inside." The virtual seminar will take place, Monday, May 3, 2021, at 1 p.m., and will explore the various characteristics that make women leaders unique as well as why women are the fastest growing segment of small business owners in America.

Starting Monday, May 3, DeKalb County Public Library will offer one-hour book browsing appointments. Prior to entry, each patron must submit to a temperature screening and proper face coverings will be required. Patrons are encouraged to use self-checkout machines where available. Contact-free pickup for materials will transition to “grab-n-go,” where patrons can pick up their items inside the branch.
