DeKalb Voter Alert: DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections Mailed 18,000 ‘No-Contact’ Notices

This week, DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections mailed “no-contact” notices to individuals who have not had contact with the elections system in the last five years. This is a statewide effort that is required of all elections offices.
Arcadia Avenue Lane Closure Continues on Aug. 9

On Aug. 9, a portion of the Southbound lane along S. Columbia Drive between Craigie Avenue and East College Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., while crews continue work to rehabilitate 532 linear feet of ductile-iron sewer pipe. This section of Arcadia Avenue will reopen on Saturday, Aug. 14.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is scheduled to make an appearance in District 1 on Friday, Aug. 6, to pitch the Safe Streets for All program. Secretary Buttigieg will tour the Buford Highway corridor, located in District 1 of DeKalb County at 1 p.m. He will be joined by U.S. Rep. Lucy McBath and local officials to view the New Peachtree Road Livable Centers Initiative Project.
