Robert Davis, Interim Director, WorkSource DeKalb
Rob Davis joined WorkSource DeKalb in January 2019 as the Deputy Director and has been the Interim Director since April 2022. He is a seasoned, results-driven and solution-focused leader with a demonstrated track record of exceptional results in both civilian and military settings. He possesses an array of skills in strategic vision implementation; budget development/execution; working closely with elected officials, senior administrators, department heads, community, and business leaders; and interfacing with staff and citizens.
As WorkSource DeKalb’s Interim Director, he focuses on implementing workforce development strategies for the residents and business community of DeKalb County. Rob provides strategic leadership, to include managing operations and budgeting processes, achieving federally mandated goals, and cultivating partner relationships. This is accomplished by integrating 35 departmental personnel within workforce development operations; serving over 800 annual job seekers and regional employers; all within a $5M Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act annual budget.
Rob Davis is a retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel where he held several leadership, evaluation, and training positions. After 26 years in the Air Force, Rob ventured into the financial services industry for 4 years; led the city of Savannah’s Business Retention and Expansion efforts for 6 years; and guided the District of Columbia’s workforce development outreach, Work Opportunity Tax Credit, Rapid Response and its infrastructure career development mission for 1½ years prior to joining the WorkSource DeKalb team.
Rob earned his B.S in Marketing Management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Masters in Finance from Louisiana Tech. He and his wife, Earline, are the proud parents of five children and four grandchildren.

WorkSource DeKalb is a nonprofit government agency dedicated to providing the residents of DeKalb County with the tools that are vital in securing and maintaining employment. The department not only assists adults and dislocated workers with WIA-funded training and job searching; it also assists DeKalb County’s youth by providing them the tools needed to be successful in today’s ever-changing workforce.
