Michelle Butler currently serves as the Chief Procurement Officer for the Purchasing and Contracting Department in DeKalb County, Georgia. She plays an essential role in overseeing procurement operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
As a procurement professional, she is committed to excellence and implementing strategies to optimize procurement processes and deliver maximum value for stakeholders. Ms. Butler holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Psychology from Georgia State University. She also holds a Juris Doctor degree from Cumberland School of Law. She is a licensed attorney, admitted to practice law in both Alabama and Tennessee, further reinforcing and enriching her understanding of legal complexities. Additionally, she holds certifications as a Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM), NIGP Certified Procurement Professional (NIGP-CPP), and Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO).
