  • The Association of Metroplitan Water Agencies (AMWA) 2005 Gold Awards for Competitiveness Achievement
  • 2005 - Georgia Association of Water Professionals - Public Education Award, the Distinguished Program Award in Large Systems
  • 2002 - Georgia Water & Pollution Control Association Outstanding Operation of a Wastewater Collection System. (Over 50,000 customers.)

Scott Candler Water Production Laboratory

  • 2004 - Best Tasting Water Award Georgia Water & Pollution Control Association.
 

Snapfinger Water Pollution Control Plant

  • 2004 - National Association of Clean Water Agencies Peak Performance Award
 

Polebridge Water Pollution Control Plant

  • 2005 - 1st Place, George Burke Safety Award
  • 2004 - National Association of Clean Water Agencies Peak Performance Award
  • 2001 - The 2001 William D. Hatfield Award was presented to D. Eric Hancock, a member of the Georgia Water Environment Federation (WEF) Section for his outstanding performance in the operation of wastewater treatment plants.
  • 2001 - Mr. Eric Hancock is also the 2001 recipient of the District 3 TopOps Award. The TopOps Award recognizes outstanding water and wastewater operator in each district annually.
  • 2001 - GW&PCA Plant of the Year, Georgia (Large Advanced Wastewater Treatment Category)
  • 2000 - Second Place, United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) National - Excellent Beneficial Use of Biosolids Program
  • 2000 - First Place, Georgia WEF - George Burke Safety Award
