Thank you for your interest in submitting a bulky item collection request. Approved bulky items are collected by special collection vehicles and included in residents’ annual sanitation assessment fees. Bulky items include furniture, mattresses and box springs, household appliances, playground equipment, lawn mowers, hand tools, accessories etc., and other items not collected on residents’ normally scheduled sanitation service day. Residents are required to call (404) 294-2900 to request a bulky item collection as soon as items have been placed at the curb. Once a request has been submitted, a collection assessment will be completed. Some requests may require a prepaid fee prior to collection. The collection period is, on average, within 10 business days after the request has been submitted. However, a surge in bulky item collection requests may result in a collection time frame beyond 10 business days.
