Implementation Timeline

 

The official program launch date and implementation timeline are as follows:

Program launch date - Thursday, May 28, 2015


 

Informational door hangers advising of residents’ new collection service day and "go live" date for one-day-a-week collection service will be delivered starting Friday, May 29, 2015, and will take approximately three to four weeks to complete.


 

Direct mail correspondence from Interim CEO May advising of the program's implementation timeline will be mailed to residents beginning May 29, 2015.


 

The delivery process for green 65-gallon garbage roll carts will begin by July 6, 2015 and will take six to eight weeks to complete. Delivered with each roll cart will be brochures outlining the new collection and cart procedures, a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document, and the remaining 2015 and entire 2016 holiday collection schedule.


 

Once-a-week collection is scheduled to begin on July 6, 2015, even for customers who have not received their county-provided green garbage roll cart. Garbage, recycling and yard trimmings will all be collected on the same day.

Single-family residential customers will switch to once-a-week collection service as follows (subject to change):

 Monday once-a-week customers will begin on Monday, July 6, 2015

 

 Tuesday once-a-week customers will begin on Tuesday, July 7, 2015

 

 Wednesday once-a-week customers will begin on Wednesday, July 8, 2015

 

 Thursday once-a-week customers will begin on Thursday, July 9, 2015
