Temporary Services

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management provides meters for temporary services, such as those used by contractors in the construction business. Meters are available for both short and long-term usage. 

Green Street Project 

The Green Street Project (Project 7) is one of 7 areas under construction within the Package 3 Design-Build for Gravity Sewer System Rehabilitation, Replacement, and Construction. Package 3 was commissioned to repair and replace damaged infrastructure. Project benefits include improved sewer capacity, long term infrastructure improvements and most importantly, the reduction of Sanitary Sewer System Overflows.

GS Construction will manage Area 1: Briarcliff and North Decatur Roads. Work will include the installation of a 12" ductile iron pipe on Briarcliff Road from the intersection of Clifton Road to Virginia Avenue and North Decatur Road from Briarcliff Road to Dowman Drive.

SDC Construction will manage Area 4: The By Way. Work will include the installation of an 8" ductile iron pipe along the following neighborhood streets: Cameron Court, The By Way, Oxford Road, Briardale Lane and Springdale Road covering approximately 10,925 linear feet (LF). All pipe replacement will be performed in the road. 

Granite Construction will manage Area 3 which includes Oakdale / Lullwater Roads. Work will include the installation of an 8" ductile iron pipe along the following residential streets: Oakdale Road, Lullwater Road and The By Way, covering approximately 9,500 linear feet (LF). All pipe replacement work will be performed in the road. 

Renee Group will manage Area 2 which includes Harvard and Cornell Roads. Work will include the installation of an 8" ductile iron pipe along the following residential streets: Harvard Road, Springdale Road, Cornell Road, Oxford Road, Oakdale Road and Emory Road covering approximately 8,750 linear feet (LF).

GS Construction will manage Area 1 on North Decatur Road. Work will include the installation of a 12" ductile iron pipe along N. Decatur Road from Briarcliff Road to Oxford Road covering approximately 4,240 linear feet (LF). An estimated 75 residents will be impacted by the reconstruction process.

Briarcliff Corridor Water Infrastructure Replacement Project

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management will replace all water services, valves, hydrants and outdated meter boxes. This work will include upsizing water transmission pipe varying in sizes from 8-inch to 12-inch ductile iron pipe for optimized water service and long term infrastructure improvements. Work will occur in the following 4 Areas.
