Background check/criminal history, records restrictions and inspections of records are by appointment or by mail only.
In-person appointments are available on Tuesdays 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. –
3:30 p.m. for the following services:

BACKGROUND CHECK/CRIMINAL HISTORY |

You may contact us via email at CriminalHistoryCheck@dekalbcountyga.gov to request a background check.
- We will send you a form to fill out, which must be returned with payment.
- You must enclose a copy of your valid Government-issued ID card, passport or driver’s license with the form and payment.
