1. HOW MAY I CONTACT THE PROPERTY MAPPING TEAM?

2. DO I COME TO YOUR OFFICE IF I NEED A COPY OF A DEED, PLAT OR SURVEY, IF AVAILABLE? 

A: No, if you know of the deed book and page number or plat book and page number regarding the property, visit Contact Real Estate | DeKalb County Clerk of Superior Court (dksuperiorclerk.com) and complete the online contact real estate form and indicate the requested deed book and page number or plat book and page number. 3. I DO NOT KNOW OF THE DEED BOOK AND PAGE NUMBER OR PLAT BOOK AND PAGE NUMBER FOR A PROPERTY, CAN GIS CONFIRM IF THE PROPERTY IS LISTING A DEED BOOK AND PAGE NUMBER OR A PLAT BOOK AND PAGE NUMBER? 

A: Yes, send an email to either the Deed Team or Mapping Team and ask for them to verify the latest deed book and page number or plat book and page number for a parcel id or address of a property.

 

4. DOES GIS PERFORM SURVEYS OF PROPERTY? 

A: No. Search for a land surveyor or engineer.

 

5. MY NEIGHBOR IS ENCROACHING ON MY PROPERTY, HOW CAN GIS HELP?

A: After obtaining a copy of the recorded plat or deed from the Clerk's office, the customer may contact their lawyer or a licensed surveyor and provide them with the recorded plat or deed to seek assistance in the civil matter.
