Once items have been placed curbside, residents must complete a bulky item or special collection request. Bulky items are included in residents’ annual sanitation assessment fees, but special collection items incur a prepaid special collection fee (see below).
Physical limitations/disabilities can affect residents’ ability to place their garbage and recycling roll carts curbside for servicing. Special collection service is available for residents with these circumstances. Residents seeking assistance should complete an application and provide the specific documentation and endorsements required for the review and processing of this application. Once a final determination is made, the applicant will be contacted.

Originally launched in 2017, Operation Clean Sweep is a multi-departmental initiative focused on litter collection, illegal dumping, and removing debris, trash and grass from county streets, neighborhoods, sidewalks, roadway drains and county rights of way. The initiative is now entering its second phase branded Operation Spring Clean Sweep 2018. Events and activities begin May 19, 2018, and will continue through the end of June 2018.
