DeKalb County is a member of The National Association of Counties (NACo) and the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG).  NACo is the only national organization that represents county governments on the national level in the United States.  NACo assists America’s 3,069 counties in pursuing excellence in public service to produce healthy, vibrant, safe and resilient counties.  Whereas, ACCG's primary charge is to ensure that all 159 counties in Georgia can provide the necessary leadership, services and programs to meet the health, safety and welfare needs of their citizens.
