About Human Services

The DeKalb County Human Services Department offers services and programs to support DeKalb residents from birth through end of life.

We work to improve the well-being of our community through our county-wide unique services, partnerships, grants, programs, initiatives, and federal/state mandated services.  This includes case management, in-home healthcare, senior & multipurpose centers, information and assessment, home-delivered meals, nutrition education, coordinated transportation, 

Meals on Wheels, Human Services Grants Program, Mother-Infant Home Visitation, comprehensive Youth Programs, technology assistance, domestic violence and child abuse prevention, and Pilot initiatives through partnerships.

Our most vital role is providing Dekalb County with a one-stop shop for providing services and resources Dekalb families need to overcome challenges or enhance their well-being.
