ELEVATION CERTIFICATES
An Elevation Certificate (EC) is the required form by the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) for documentation of elevation information. It is required for the following reasons;
1. to ensure compliance with floodplain management ordinances
2. to determine the proper insurance rate
3. as supporting document to a Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA)
