Utility Permitting

The Director of Public Works, pursuant to his authority under DeKalb County Code section 23-87, has promulgated a Policy regarding facilities placed in the County Right-of-Way, effective on January 11, 2018, available by clicking here.

There is a uniform permitting process for the construction, maintenance, renewal, removal, and relocation of pipes, mains, conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other equipment, facilities, or any utility in, on, along, over, or under any county roads in DeKalb County.  This process requires applying for a utility facility encroachment permit.
