DECATUR, Ga. – WorkSource DeKalb and Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) have partnered to conduct pre-employment assessments of bus operations and transit systems personnel. Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 18, WorkSource DeKalb will host testing sessions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its location at 774 Jordan Lane, Bldg. 4, Decatur, GA 30033.
A MARTA representative will administer assessments of the bus operations test to recruit bus operators. The bus operations visual test is two hours and gauges customer service skills and basic bus operation knowledge. In addition, the bus operator test is used to identify mechanical reasoning and spatial perception.
Bus operator duties include helping disabled passengers, announcing major stops and transfer points and transporting passengers safely from one stop to another.
Bus operator recruitment will take place every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. until further notice.
