Design & Survey
The Design and Survey section establishes and maintains survey benchmarks in DeKalb County.

Land Acquisition
The Land Acquisition section provides support for Community Development, Development, Roads and Drainage, Sanitation and Water & Sewer in the preparation of paperwork and acquisition services for intersection enhancements road improvements, sewer easements and water lines.  We also provide acquisition for Federally Funded and Georgia DOT projects.

Utility Permitting
A uniform permitting process for the construction, maintenance, renewal, removal, and relocation of pipes, mains, conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other equipment, facilities, or any utility in, on, along, over, or under any county roads in DeKalb County.  This process requires applying for a Utility Facility Encroachment Permit.  The application can be obtained from:
