DECATUR, Ga. – Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 10, WorkSource DeKalb will hold Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) training information sessions at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays at its location at 774 Jordan Lane, Bldg. 4, Decatur, GA 30033.
During the sessions, DeKalb County residents can learn about WIOA eligibility, training requirements, available resources and assessments. Individuals will also receive a training request questionnaire and be assigned a career advisor to assist with the application. Attendance is mandatory in order to proceed with the WIOA training process.
WorkSource DeKalb administers various employment and training programs for adults, dislocated workers and youth ages 14-24. Occupational skills training funding through WIOA is available to DeKalb County residents and residents of other counties who were laid off from a DeKalb County employer. Through successful completion of WIOA training programs, individuals have opportunities to enhance their skills and become more marketable in the workplace.
