WELCOME TO THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT

The Human Services Department plays a central role in coordinating a comprehensive network of county professionals, programs, services, and community partnerships dedicated to enhancing the well-being of over 750,000 DeKalb County residents. Our team and network of professionals offer a diverse range of services that cater to the fundamental needs of families, spanning from infants, school-aged children, youth, adults, to seniors. This is achieved through a combination of direct services provided by our dedicated Human Services staff, grant administration, collaboration with direct services subcontractors, and partnership programs.

Our focus at the DeKalb County Human Services Department is unwavering when it comes to addressing the ever-evolving needs of our community. We recognize that effectively responding to community challenges necessitates a broad-reaching and collaborative effort. Our mission revolves around truly understanding individuals, their real-life experiences, and the hardships they face. We take pride in not only supporting those who have triumphed over their struggles but also in celebrating the individuals who have played a pivotal role in their journey.

The DeKalb Human Services Department is fully dedicated to the vital task of Connecting Families to Services.
