Young entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to present the innovative, agriculture-based businesses they developed during a “Shark Tank”-style pitch event sponsored by the EMBARC Youth Farm.
The event will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 19, at the Bruce Street East DeKalb Senior Center, located at 2449 Bruce St., Lithonia.
This event will spotlight the entrepreneurial skills and sustainable agriculture expertise of EMBARC participants, who, over the past 10 months, have gained hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture, covering essential skills from planting and harvesting to food production and sales strategies.
These experiences have empowered them to develop unique business ideas to promote sustainability, support community growth, and expand healthy food access.
The “Shark Tank” challenge serves as a platform for these young entrepreneurs to showcase their skills and impact-driven ideas, reinforcing the value of sustainable agriculture.
Participants will present their business concept to a panel of esteemed judges who will provide feedback, guidance, and insights to help advance their ideas.
Prizes will be awarded to those whose projects stand out regarding creativity, feasibility, and potential for positive community impact.
