DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will host a Pollinator Planter workshop, Saturday, Aug. 10 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Center, 3787 Klondike Rd., Stonecrest, Ga.
Participants of all ages are welcome to come and get their hands dirty to create their own pollinator planter. This educational workshop will teach patrons the role pollinators contribute to beautifying greenspace, increasing native biodiversity, supporting local insects and animals like bees, butterflies and hummingbirds and provide community engagement.
Participants can take home their summer planter for rewarding blooms and visitors all season long.
