DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections Announces Unofficial Primary Election Runoff Results

DeKalb County Voter Registration and Elections (DeKalb VRE) has concluded initial unofficial and incomplete tabulations of the June 18 Primary Election Runoff contest. The runoff election included contests for State Senate – District 55, Chief Executive Officer, County Commissioner District 4, State Court Judge Division A-3 and Board of Education – District 5. 

 

Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) ballots must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 21. Any provisional ballots will also be factored into the final certified results.

“Throughout this election cycle, we’ve strived to provide a seamless and efficient voting experience for DeKalb County residents,” said Keisha Smith, executive director of DeKalb VRE. “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated poll workers and County employees whose tireless efforts have been pivotal over these past months. They are the unsung heroes of our democracy, and I am deeply thankful for the steadfast leadership of the Board of Registration and Elections. To our voters, thank you for participating in this important process. Your engagement is vital to our community’s future.”

DeKalb VRE is scheduled to certify the Runoff Election on Monday, June 24, at noon.
