The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs in collaboration with Live Thrive will host a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony for Live Thrive's CHaRM DeKalb on June 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Belvedere Park, 1221 Columbia Drive, Decatur, Ga. Members of the public are invited to join the ceremony.

For over a decade, Live Thrive has been a champion of sustainable practices. The new facility will operate on an expansive 8-acre site and will offer essential recycling and reuse services for the community.

In addition to managing recycling operations, Live Thrive's CHaRM DeKalb facility will also spearhead environmental education initiatives at the State Farm Learning Garden and the Compost Kitchen in collaboration with CompostNow. Future endeavors include the establishment of a fruit forest, bee yard, and more.
