Commissioner Robert Patrick, representing DeKalb County's District 1 and serving as the presiding officer, reaffirms his dedication to empowering local students by allocating $10,000 of District 1 funds to support the Tucker-based nonprofit, Omega Support for its eagerly anticipated annual Back-to-School Celebration.
The Back-to-School Celebration is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 29, at the Omega Support Headquarters, located at 4123 Fellowship Rd., Ste. C, Tucker, GA 30084. The event will commence at 10 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. Attendees can expect a day filled with exciting activities and opportunities to engage with the community while preparing for the academic year ahead.
This marks the second consecutive year that Commissioner Patrick has extended his support to this event, underscoring his unwavering commitment to the academic success and well-being of students in his district.
The Back-to-School Celebration, organized by Omega Support, has become a hallmark event, providing vital assistance to students as they prepare for the upcoming academic year.
Recognizing the importance of equipping students with the necessary tools to excel in their learning journey, Commissioner Patrick has once again stepped forward to contribute to this meaningful cause.

Omega Support is steadfast in its mission to make a difference in the lives of local students, and has set a commendable goal for this year's celebration. Omega Support aims to provide support to over 1,000 students in DeKalb County District 1 by offering backpacks, school supplies, paper products, uniforms, shoes and personal hygiene items.
