Warren Technical School
DeKalb County Fleet Management has been in partnership with a work-based learning program at Warren Technical School since 2003, wherein on-the-job training is provided to students. The students are given the opportunity to participate in real life experiences in learning the skills of an automotive technician. |
Apprenticeships
DeKalb County Fleet Management, in partnership with Georgia Piedmont Technical College, began an Apprenticeship Program in 2018. The number of paid apprenticeships approved by the County grew from the initial 2 positions to 8 positions in 2021. For further information, please visit our Fleet Employment page. |
Clean Cities-Georgia
Robert Gordon, Deputy Director of Fleet Management, has been on the Clean Cities-Georgia Board of Directors since 2016. Clean Cities-Georgia is a nonprofit coalition of stakeholders working to advance efficient, clean, and sustainable fuel use. DeKalb County participates in the annual reporting of state-wide sustainability efforts and serves as a resource for other agencies within the state that are beginning their programs. |
