DeKalb County Extension announces the seventh season of Fresh on DeK, DeKalb County’s Mobile Farmers Market, travelling throughout the county to offer nutrition education and fresh-grown fruits and vegetables.
Session A will be from June 7-July 30, and Session B will be from Aug. 2 – Sept. 24.
Fresh on DeK's purpose is to improve the health of the community, the viability of local produce and to preserve the environment for future generations by providing access to fresh produce and nutritional education programming throughout DeKalb County.
This season, Fresh on DeK is proud to announce that it will be providing virtual nutrition education and free prebagged fruits and vegetables for participants in response to current COVID-19 safety restrictions and guidelines. No registration is required. Available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
Fresh on DeK is made possible with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, DeKalb County Government, DeKalb County Board of Health and UGA Extension.
In addition to nutrition education, DeKalb County Extension’s programming focuses on horticulture, the environment, communities, youth and families.
