DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs and District 4 Commissioner Steve Bradshaw will hold an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate new improvements at Wade Walker Park on Saturday, July 29, at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be held in the rear of the park near the lake at 5585 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30088.
A total of $1 million was allocated from the DeKalb County 2006 Park Bond funds to enhance the park play areas including replacing one playground, resurfacing all playgrounds and constructing a netball court. The public is invited to join park staff and county officials at the ceremony. Attendees will also learn more about the upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
