Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs to Host July Movies in the Park Series

DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs Department will host a Movie in the Park series every Tuesday at July in various locations across the county with activities beginning at dusk and each movie starting at 8:30 p.m.

Participants are encouraged to bring their families and friends, blankets, lawn chairs and food for each showing. All movies featured will be rated PG-13 and and viewable for all ages to enjoy. Select locations will extend pool hours.  

Movie Schedule

• July 9, Marvel’s “Spiderman”, at Redan Recreation Center, 1839 Phillips Road, Lithonia, Ga 30058

• July 11, Disney’s “Incredibles 2”, at Bouldercrest Park, 4184 Bouldercrest Park Road, Ellenwood, Ga 30294

• July 16, Disney’s “Captain Marvel”, at Exchange Splash Pad, 2771 Columbia Drive, Decatur, Ga 30034

• Exchange Splash Pad will remain open until 8 p.m.

• July 23, Warner Bros' “Aquaman” at Mason Mill Park, 1340 McConnell Drive, Decatur, Ga 30033

• July 30, Paramount’s “Bumblee” at Browns Mill Aquatic Facility, 5101 Browns Mill Road, Lithonia, Ga 30038

• Browns Mill Aquatics Facility will be free after 8 p.m. and will remain open until the movie is over.
