National Compost Conference to Visit DeKalb on Jan. 25

DECATUR, Ga. — The DeKalb County Sanitation Division will host a demonstration day during the US Composting Council meeting in Atlanta. The event will feature equipment demonstrations such as grinders, screeners and turners for the composting and wood recycling industry and take place on Thursday, Jan. 25, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Seminole Road Landfill, 4203 Clevemont Rd., Ellenwood, GA.  

Established in 1990, the US Composting Council is the only national organization in the United States dedicated to the development and promotion of the composting industry. The organization's 26th annual conference, COMPOST 2018, will be held Jan. 22-25 in Atlanta and the event is expected to draw more than 1,000 compost manufacturers and equipment providers.
