DECATUR, Ga.—On Dec. 12, the DeKalb County Clerk of Superior Court received the remittitur from the Georgia Supreme Court, which immediately reinstates W. Burrell Ellis Jr. as CEO of DeKalb County.
Ellis, whose term ends Dec. 31, will be succeeded by CEO-elect Michael Thurmond in January 2017.
