DeKalb County Cooperative Extension Kicks Off Fifth Season of Fresh on DeK, Mobile Farmers Market

DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb County Extension has launched the fifth season of Fresh on DeK, DeKalb County’s Mobile Farmers Market, which travels throughout the county offering nutrition education and fresh grown fruits and vegetables for sale.

The market is possible with funding from DeKalb County Government, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and UGA Cooperative Extension.

The schedule for Fresh on DeK is as follows:

• Tuesdays:
  • DeKalb Community Service Board East DeKalb Center, 2277 S. Stone Mountain-Lithonia Rd., Lithonia, GA 30058, 9 to 11 a.m.
  • Flat Shoals Library, 4022 Flat Shoals Pkwy. Decatur, GA 30034, noon to 2 p.m.,
  • Mainstreet Community Services Association Inc., 5001 Mainstreet Park Dr. Stone Mountain, GA 30088, 5 to 7 p.m.
• Wednesdays
  • Oakhurst Medical Center, 5582 Memorial Dr., Stone Mountain, GA 30083, 9 to 11 a.m.
  • University of Georgia DeKalb County Cooperative Extension, 4380 Memorial Dr. Decatur, GA 30032, noon to 2 p.m.
