DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb Cooperative Extension is hosting a S.T.E.A.M. Camp during DeKalb County School District's scheduled spring break, April 1-5, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the DeKalb Cooperative Extension Office, located at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 200, Decatur.
With the partnership between DeKalb Extension and Club Invention and Bricks4Kidz, students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of S.T.E.A.M. activities like building their own Lego robot using the EV3 Mindstorms Technology, programming robots through a coding system, creating their own prototypes to solve missions and becoming an ocean researcher to examine the impact of excess trash in waterways.
The cost for camp is $250. Lunch, snacks and a camp t-shirt will be provided.
A non refundable deposit of $50 and a registration form is due at the time of registration. The total cost will be due no later than the closing date, March 22.
DeKalb Cooperative Extension also provides a variety of summer camps for youth such as paddle boarding in Tybee Island, touring a Georgia Sea Turtle Center in Jekyll Island, learning about archery and herpetology, and more.
