DeKalb Announces Christmas and New Year’s Residential Sanitation Collection Schedule

Collection service to run one day late for Wednesday and Thursday customers

In observance of Christmas Day on Wednesday, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day on Wednesday, Jan. 1, sanitation service for residential customers will be based on a revised holiday schedule as follows:

Monday, Dec. 23, and Monday, Dec. 30 – No change in collection service.

Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Tuesday, Dec. 31 – No change in collection service.

Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1 – Christmas Day and New Year’s Day observed. No collection service.

Thursday, Dec. 26, and Thursday, Jan. 2 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection days are Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1, will be serviced on Thursday, Dec. 26, and Thursday, Jan. 2.

Friday, Dec. 27, and Friday, Jan. 3 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection days are Thursday, Dec. 26, and Thursday, Jan. 2, will be serviced on Friday, 
Dec. 27, and Friday, Jan. 3.

The Central Transfer Station, North Transfer Station, Seminole Road Landfill, administration building, Customer Care call center, and Commercial Services will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1, resuming services on Thursday, Dec. 26, and Thursday, Jan. 2, during normal operating hours.
