DECATUR, Ga.—DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews are working to repair a 16-inch water main damaged when a CSX contractor bored a hole into it.
The damaged pipe is located on the 700 block of Coventry Road in Decatur.
Watershed crews are proceeding with caution to minimize service interruption for residential, commercial and medical customers.
A water restoration and cleanup contractor has been deployed to assist homeowners who may been impacted.
DeKalb County has brought in private contractors to assist watershed crews with repairs.
DeKalb County will issue another update at 5 p.m.
