DECATUR, GA. –DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson, the board’s presiding officer, has been reappointed as chairman of the National Association of Counties (NACo) international economic development task force for a second term.

Johnson’s appointment was made by new NACo President Bryan Desloge, a commissioner in Leon County, Fla., on the final day of NACo’s annual conference in Los Angeles County. Johnson previously served as task force vice chairman from 2013 to 2015.

Johnson, active in NACo since 2005, also serves on the association’s board of directors and as vice chairman of its health steering committee. Additionally, Johnson is a member of the large urban county caucus steering committee and the healthy counties initiative advisory board.
