The Dekalb County Youth Commission is a leadership program established to involve youth, from varied social economic backgrounds and disparate neighborhoods, in opportunities to have a voice in their communities.
Through monitoring of Commission activities, hosting of workshops, and attendance at campaigns and rallies on topics pertinent to the concerns and interests of young people, participants learn to isolate and define specific issues.
No one knows your family better than YOU! You are your child’s primary source of support and care while he or she grows and learns for the first five years of life. Your baby’s development begins during pregnancy and continues through the early years of life.
In partnership with the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, the DeKalb Opportunity Zone is a collaborative approach to community needs that mobilizes citizens to help each other where they live.

From our friends at the Side by Side Brain Injury Clubhouse:
Since her head injury Tammy has not been able to keep a job. The attractive, 28-year-old woman has worked in shoe sales and chld care but is always fired after a few days on the job because of her lack of ability to show up on time, keep up with her assignments and adapt when new things come along.
